Frequently Asked Questions

Your skin will first be assessesd. You will also be asked to remove any make-up/skin products, as this allows the beneficial light to penetrate your skin better. You will then lie down under the light source for 20 – 30 minutes depending on the treatment area or skin concern to be treated.

Yes. Because the treatment uses neither heat nor chemicals, it is suitable for all skin types.

No. There is no downtime after the treatment, and you will be fine to resume your everyday activities immediately.

An 8-week intensive programme consisting of 12 treatments; 2 treatments per week for 4 weeks followed by 1 treatment per week for 4 weeks.

The effects are instantaneous, however, as a natural stimulation process, the full extent of the results of the treatment will reveal itself over a period, sometimes up to 6 weeks after the course of the treatment has finished.

Results can last for several months following a course of treatments subject to the indication. However, regular maintenance treatments are advised to extend results as part of an on-going skin health programme. One session every 4- 6 week.

Immediately before a light therapy session, you should cleanse your skin with a gentle product free of perfumes and dyes (or other drying agents). Gently pat your skin dry and do not apply any topical treatments. Clean, fresh skin during light therapy yields the best results.

Although LED lights do not produce harmful UV rays like the sun, light therapy can still produce reactions from retinol. Retinol must be stopped 4 days before treatment.
