Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and freeing the skin of fine vellus hair.
As we age, our cell turnover decreases and the dead skin cells that have been exposed to environmental toxins can cause your skin to look to look tired and dull, contributing to clogged pores and spots.
Dermaplaning is a simple and safe procedure for exfoliating the epidermis and freeing the skin of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz).
This then creates clear channels into the skin so skin peels, facials, skin products and serums can penetrate into the skin where they need to be rather than sitting on the skin’s surface, as well as a soft smooth surface for makeup to glide on flawlessly.
What happens during dermaplaning?
Using a sterile micro- blade held at a 45-degree angle and a delicate touch the surface of the skin is simply abraded using light feathering strokes.
Dermaplaning removes the outer most layers of dead skin cells leaving the skin immediately smooth, simple and vibrant.
This procedure is followed by a mild exfoliation, serum and recover balm and moisture defence with SPF.
What happens after the treatment?
You will notice an increased glow to the skin, an evening of complexion, a reduction of hyperpigmentation, improved skin tone, reduction of vellus hair.
The skin may be a little pink immediately after treatment, but this normally subsides within an hour or so.
Repeat treatment every 6- 12 weeks
39 – 45 minutes.
Usual activates may resume.
None. However SPF is recommended due to skin being extra sensitive.
